Your Questions, Answered
Who We Support
-
We work with neurodivergent students who benefit from individualized academic, organizational, and executive functioning support. Our approach is strengths-based, practical, and tailored to each student’s needs.

Yes. Our services are designed for students enrolled in general education or inclusive school settings who may also receive accommodations or school-based support.
-
We work with students who are able to participate in a general education or inclusive school environment. If a student’s primary placement is a separate special education program, we may not be the right fit.
-
At this time, our services are best suited to students enrolled in school settings where they are actively managing academic expectations, routines, and responsibilities within a structured program.
How Coaching Helps
-
Academic coaching is a collaborative support process that helps students build the skills they need to succeed in school. This can include organization, planning, follow-through, self-advocacy, time management, and confidence-building.
-
Tutoring usually focuses on subject-specific academic content, while coaching focuses on the skills and systems that help students manage school more effectively. Coaching addresses habits, routines, organization, and executive functioning.
-
We help students with executive functioning, organization, planning, task initiation, time management, prioritizing, follow-through, self-awareness, and building confidence. We also support students in developing practical strategies they can use independently over time.
-
Yes. We help students better understand their needs, communicate more effectively, and build the confidence to ask for the support they need.
What Sessions Look Like
-
Sessions typically include a check-in, a review of recent progress, identification of current challenges, skill-building, and action planning for the week ahead. Each session is designed to be practical, focused, and encouraging.
-
Yes. Each week includes one targeted skill-building focus to help students learn, practice, and reflect on strategies that support academic success and independence.
-
Session frequency depends on the student’s needs and goals. We will discuss the best rhythm during the intake process so the support is appropriately paced.
-
Session length depends on the service format selected. Specific timing can be shared during the inquiry and intake process.
-
Yes. Students may leave each session with a clear next step, a strategy to practice, or a skill to apply during the week. The goal is to turn coaching into real-world progress between meetings.
Family Communication
-
Family involvement depends on the student’s age, needs, and what is most helpful for the coaching relationship. We aim to balance student independence with appropriate family support and communication.
-
If appropriate and with the right permissions, we can provide general updates about progress, goals, and themes from coaching. The exact communication plan is discussed during intake.
-
When helpful and with permission, we can coordinate with school personnel or other supports to help keep the student’s plan aligned. Collaboration is always handled thoughtfully and with privacy in mind.
Fit and Boundaries
-
If your child is enrolled in a general education or inclusive school setting and needs support with organization, executive functioning, confidence, or follow-through, they may be a strong fit for our coaching model.
-
No. Coaching is not a substitute for school-based services, special education support, or mental health treatment. It is a practical support service focused on skills, structure, and accountability.
-
We do not diagnose, evaluate, or provide therapy. We also do not offer one-size-fits-all academic support; our work is individualized and focused on student growth and skill-building.
Scheduling and Payment

The first step is to reach out through the inquiry form or contact page. From there, we will determine fit, discuss goals, and outline next steps.
